She had been summoned to appear in a trial of nine people accused of attempting to overthrow the Rwandan government by peaceful means.   • The Rwandan Opposition Platform P4 denounces the ongoing ethnic cleansing in the city ofGoma which is under the occupation of the Rwandan totalitarian regime.
    On May 12, 2025, Mr. Willy Ngoma, military spokesperson for the M23 rebel movement, aproxy for the Rwandan Defense Forces (RDF), rounded up 181 people of all ages at UnityStadium in Goma and presented them to the press as Rwandan citizens living in DRC illegally.These people, all of Hutu ethnicity, were stripped of their identity papers, which neverthelesscertified that they were Congolese. The papers were burned there and then in public. In thedays that followed, the witch hunt for Hutu continued and on May 17, 2025, at least 360people, the majority of whom were women and children, were loaded, visibly terrified, ontobuses bound for Rwanda. The fate of many young men and fathers on whom these deporteesdepended, remains unknown to this day.

    The Rwandan Opposition Platform (P4) was very pleased to see the signing on 25 April 2025in Washington, by the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Rwanda of the“Declaration of principles” for peace, stability and economic development. We express ourdeep gratitude to the United States for its tireless intervention on both sides of the conflictand for making this great step towards peace in the Great Lakes region possible.
